"Commander Mike" Mike Fallert, Keyboards
Mike, (a man of few words), is a native of St. Louis. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1968 where he began playing piano in his junior year. He also plays the guitar. In 1976 Mike joined a band called Rapscallion and spent the next 12 years on the road playing gigs all over the country. He joined the Ron Furr Band in 1988 as keyboardist and business manager. The next three years were spent on the road performing Ron's "Elvis Show." In 1991, Ron came back to St. Louis and opened his club in South County. Mike continued to manage and play with Ron until 1999.

Mike's says that his influences and favorite bands are Blood Sweat and Tears, Young Rascals and Smash Mouth. One of the highlights of his tenure with the Smash Band is when the band opened for Blood Sweat and Tears at Riverport Amphitheater and he had his picture taken with David Clayton Thomas.

Smash has dubbed Mike, "The Commander," and likes to make reference to his war related injuries and psychosis.
